NEYFS

Mission Statement

Northeast Youth & Family Services (NEYFS) is a family resource center committed to empowering generations by providing access and support to children and their families in Northeast Spokane. To better connect children, youth, and families to resources in the community. We do this by:

Identifying all of the resources available for children, youth, and families in Northeast Spokane.

Collaborate with organizations and families to identify potential and existing barriers to accessing those services.

Facilitate programs to help eliminate those barriers.

"NEYFS was initially started to support youth in meeting their developmental milestones and succeed in school readiness.

What we found along the way is that there are so many factors that play a role in a child's success. We adapted our model to support multiple generations and integrate nutrition and community building. We are focused on empowering families in the work they put into growing our future generations."

WE ARE PROUD TO FOLLOW

Our Core Values

Sustainability

We aim to support individuals and families in long-term sustainability rather than needing continued interventions by providing people the resources and skills that they need in order to be in a place where they can advocate for themselves.

Equity

We aim to support individuals and families in long-term sustainability rather than needing continued interventions by providing people the resources and skills that they need in order to be in a place where they can advocate for themselves.

Authenticity

Encouraging everyone to show up as themselves. Not asking anyone to change anything about themselves in order to be a part of our community. We focus on transparency with families.

Respect

Mutual respect, focusing less on right versus wrong but rather holding space for individuals as they are and honoring that.

Community

Integrating ourselves into a community that already exists, acknowledging the capability and power of the individual within the community, while partnering with the community to work against systemic prejudices.

Holistic

Acknowledging that nothing in our lives operates independently, considering all factors including mental, physical, and emotional health, safety, nutrition and so much more.

We're Always Looking for Volunteers!

Come be a bigger part of your community!
